LLECC is not responsible for lost items. Please label all belongings. Lost and Found items will be kept for 2 months and then they will be donated if not claimed. Personal belongings should be kept in a bag or backpack, which will be stored in the classroom cubbies.
You will receive a weekly newsletter highlighting events from the past week, as well as upcoming events.
Because young children feel most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment, we do not take field trips; however we do have “Come to You” field trips. A fire truck may come to LLECC, or a Petting Zoo may set up in our parking lot!
Someone will be in the office from 9:30 – 5:30 each Monday to collect your payment.
Only people listed on the ‘Person(s) authorized to pick up’ list may pick up a child. If a parent or authorized person is late in picking the child up, a late fee of $1 per minute will be applied. If a child is consistently picked up late, the school will take further action by raising the fee or calling a parent/teacher conference. Children become upset within parents are not on time so please call 816.600.3080 if you know you will be late. Staff members are never allowed to transport children home.
Please do not send a sick child to school. If a child arrives with symptoms of illness, the child will not be permitted to stay. Children will be excluded from contact with the other children; seated with the staff at the front desk until parents can be notified. Please notify us if your child becomes ill and will not be attending that day. We ask that parents notify us when their child contracts a communicable disease. The preschool will notify all other parents about any communicable disease outbreaks (This does not name the child involved just the classroom to indicate highest exposure). A child will not be permitted to attend preschool when he or she have vomited or had diarrhea during the previous 24 hours.
Prepackaged treats may be brought in for a child’s birthday. Please do not bring any treats containing any peanut product.
Inclement weather may result in closing, delayed opening or early dismissal of Libby Lane Early Education Center. If the weather is threatening there is a possibility of school closings, please tune into any major local television station (KMBC/KCWE and WDAF Fox 4) and watch for “Libby Lane Preschool.”
